Vision Linens Set to Take Europe by Storm

Vision Linens, leading textile supplier and distributer, has set about securing its place in the European market through the establishment of a full commercial and logistics solution to service European customers.

Vision is a division of the WestPoint Group with headquarters based in New York, USA. With direct operations in eight countries, spread across the globe, it became apparent that in the run up to Brexit, it would need to address a way to be best placed to serve its EU customer base.

To meet this challenge, Vision established its own European trading entity – Vision Linens BV – based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, alongside a dedicated distribution centre – CTS Logistics – based close to Rotterdam port.

The Netherlands was strategically chosen for the location of Vision’s European base. With Rotterdam port, Europe’s largest sea port, Schiphol airport and an excellent road network, The Netherlands provides the perfect gateway into mainland Europe providing a seamless post Brexit transition for Vision’s European customers.

Vision has partnered with CTS Logistics, specialists in European distribution, to ensure its European customer requirements are met. CTS boasts an impressive 20,000m2 storage and handling space, 38 loading docks and space for at least 15,000 pallets plus its own transport network. The complex maintains TAPA-A certification meeting the highest safety and security standards and is also able to offer customs warehousing. With efficient communication flow and a personal approach, CTS ensure optimal processing of shipments and logistics activities, time and time again. Flexibility, proactive communication, and innovation sets them apart from other logistics service providers.

Vision’s European infrastructure allows for the import of goods from key supply jurisdictions directly into Europe, taking advantage of existing EU trade agreements and ensuring more favourable delivery lead times to customers in Europe.

Aside from Vision Linens BV, Irish customers are now served through Vision’s Irish entity, Vision Europe Ltd (previously known as Lissadell Liddell Ireland Ltd.) This allows Vision to import goods from overseas directly into Ireland ready to be sold on domestically to their Irish customer base, reducing delivery costs and lead times. Partnerships with key Ireland based logistics providers and utilisation of established distribution hubs allows Vision to provide a full commercial and logistics service in this region.

Michelle Pegg, Group Operations Director for Vision Linens commented, “As a leading textile supplier to the hospitality and retail sectors, and serving key customers such as Hilton, IHG and Accor, it is critically important to be able to provide a first class distribution service which is adaptive and effective. With the creation of two new European trading entities and sound partnerships with third party logistics providers, Vision is set to become the European textile company of choice. At Vision, we are devoted to the continued growth of our global distribution network.”
